   Because some ppl don’t care until they are confronted with losing the person basically it’s not a reality to them up until that point, kind of like ppl who have unprotected sex they don’t really think about catching anything or the consequence until they get that scare of having something.

   I was never couched about the gender differences nor how to be a good boyfriend nor husband [nor father for that matter].
   I had to figure everything out by trial & error.
   It never occured to me to read any relationship books until *I* was seriously considering an affair.

   I did not intentionally take her for granted, I genuinely did not realize what I was nor was not doing - /and neither did she/.

   Because they are finally realizing that they do not want to lose them. People tend to take advantage of relationships when they know they can get away with it. If they sense that they may lose that person, they will change. Will the change be a permanent one? That’s a better question!

   Because the guilty feelings have kicked in and they start acting differently, before that they just assumed the wife/girlfriend will be there for them, then they stray and feel guilty after wards. Simple human nature I guess?

   Men are territorial !As long as he think his situation is under control there will be little effort to maintain it unless there is a threat,especially if there is a lot at steak !

    I don’t think that is accurate of men. Perhaps signs of losing any person’s mate brings feelings to the surface. But infidelity would only bring up anger and pain to the average person.
